WildFire Burger just released their new seasonal item: the Uni Ebi Burger. Served only 20 a day, you’d be competing with other customers to get your hands on this elusive burger. Personally I had to go down two days in a row before I managed to order one myself. Mind you it was sold out only one hour after their opening.
Was it worth it? 100% yes. You’re not just buying the burger, you’re buying the experience. It was so satisfying watching the staff carefully lift a row of fresh uni straight from the uni box and meticulously lay it on top of the squid ink aioli. ⠀⠀
But we all know that the taste is the real deal right? Biting into the slightly toasted brioche bun, tasting the earthy and naturally sweet flavours of the Bafun Uni, into the crispy, savoury thick ebi patty, followed by the crunchiness of the fresh shredded lettuce and the creamy tartar, I could not stop smiling the entire time. If you were there you’d probably just see me nodding throughout. It wasn’t too creamy and everything was perfectly balanced. I still had uni even right to my last bite!⠀
